FRUIT
JELLY
Ingredients:
3 sliced kiwis
6 prunes cut into crescent shapes
1 3/4 litres of milk
1 pinch of sodium
bicarbonate
45 gm of powdered gelatine
1 jug of water
400 gm of sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla essence
Method:
Soak the gelatine in a jug of water and place on one
side.
Add the bicarbonate to the milk and heat; when it
boils add the sugar and heat until it boils again.Remove
from the burner and add the gelatine, stirring
continually until it is completely dissolved.
Add
the vanilla essence.
Sprinkle
water in a jelly mould, pour in the jelly and leave to
set. Turn the jelly out of the mould and decorate with
fruit.
N.B.
You can use your favourite essence instead of vanilla,
and other seasonally available fruits.
