APPLE CAKE


Ingredients:
125 g of margarine
150 g of sugar
3    coffee spoons of vanilla essence
3    eggs
1    coffee spoon of lime essence
200 g of flour
2    coffee spoons of baking powder
1 to 4 coffee spoons of milk.

 

Method: Beat the margarine until creamy. Add the sugar, the eggs and the vanilla and lime essence. Sieve the flour and the baking powder together and add to the mixture. If needs be, add sufficient milk for the mixture to drop from a spoon, although still stiff. Spread the mixture in a greased and floured baking tin, place slices of apples over the cake mixture. Bake in the oven. Once baked, remove from the oven and sprinkle with icing sugar.
